What is National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR) ?




National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR) is an initiative by the Government of India to create a comprehensive and integrated digital education ecosystem in the country. 

Goal

The goal of NDEAR is to provide equitable and seamless access to quality education and skilling opportunities to all citizens, regardless of their location, socio-economic background, or level of education.

NDEAR Architecture Principles
It is an effort to create an open, interoperable and inclusive digital education ecosystem, which will enable the discovery and delivery of educational content, services and resources through a variety of channels and platforms.

The main objectives of NDEAR are to:

  1. Create a National Digital Repository of educational resources, which will serve as a single point of access for all educational content and services.

  2. Develop a National Learning Platform, which will enable the discovery and delivery of educational content, services and resources through a variety of channels and platforms.

  3. Establish a National Qualifications Framework, which will provide a common framework for the recognition, validation and accreditation of learning outcomes.

  4. Develop a National Digital Identity for learners, which will provide a secure and verifiable identity for learners, and enable access to educational content, services and resources.

  5. Create a National Data Analytics Platform, which will enable the collection, analysis and sharing of data on learning outcomes and educational resources.

Overall, NDEAR aims to provide an open, interoperable and inclusive digital education ecosystem that empowers learners, educators, and service providers with the tools, resources, and services they need to discover and access quality education and skilling opportunities.
